Lies and pretention…..

Lying and pretending in this new age has become a kind of an obsession with all the people. And its when we sit down to actually analyze our own actions that we start to find the real thing that’s going around.

It is all around. All around the world. From the teeming metropolises to the war infected poorest of the countries and regions. From the New Yorks to the New Delhis all over the place. We lie when we need to, when we don’t need to and just for the sake of it. Lying and pretending to be many things greater than what we are has come around to become a forbearer to all over actions. Its just as prevalent as breathing and the funny part is we don’t even know why we are lying when we are.

We lie at our colleges, at our jobs, to our parents, in relationships, to our friends, to our neighbors and everybody we meet. You lie to your friend about where you were and you lie about what you were doing. You lie to your girlfriends. You have heard the same lie from him and the both of you know that its a lie and maybe, neither of might give serious a shit at the end of the day and yet we go on.

We sit at restaurants and as we watch a hot girl walk around, we stand in front of our bosses, in front of our peers and friends, peers, lovers and even at times in front of our parents. Pretending to be things that you are not has become so much a part of our lives I doubt if many of really know what we truly and don’t like.

Out of these lies comes the many of the things that we see around us today… many of them bad, but some good as well, I might add. Its kind of prevalent and I think we might have to live with it.

Albert Camus once said that ‘Man is the only animal that refuses to be what he is’ and its disheartening where we have come to and to acknowledge the fact that he is right. I am quite sure that the early man didn’t need shit like this in his head. Maybe its all a part of evolution.

Maybe one day we might grow up to go further and achieve that true acceptance and nirvana and then we might lose the pleasure of deep boiled, lightly tipped out lie that comes out between your teeth…

But I think, we’ll do fine.
